Absolutely. All of this is accurate and true. I am a former journalist who came of age just as blogging became a thing. As a writer/editor at a small daily newspaper and then a large national digital media company, I remember laughing off all the old school writers rolling their eyes at the new media. In my vertical (sports), the sentiment was that bloggers were just sports fans with opinions sprouting off whatever they wanted without a care in the world from their "mom's basement." While I identified more with the bloggers in that time, I couldn't agree with you more now. Blogging is dead. Writing will always and should always prevail.
